The J.P. Carlton Model 1712 wood chipper provides an ideal balance of capacity, economy, and portability. At just 5,400 lbs. the 1712 is easily towable by smaller chip trucks. The lightweight and compact size of the 1712 makes it highly maneuverable in tight places.

J.P. Carlton Model 1712 incorporates many design features to make it a highly productive 12 in. capacity chipper. The 48 x 28 in. infeed opening allows the 1712 to swallow tops with little or no trimming. The 10.5 in. diameter feed rollers accept the wood with minimal fuss or wrapping. The industry's largest 32 ci displacement hydraulic feed motors provide the power to pull and collapse limbs and tops.
